GRADUATION
REQUIREMENTS
English | 4 Credits
Mathematics | 4 Credits (including Algebra 1, Geometry, & Algebra 2)
Science | 3 Credits (including Biology & Chemistry or Physics)
Social Studies | 3 Credits (including US History & Government/Economics)
Physical Education | 1.5 Credits (Wellness & PE)
Foreign Language | 2 Credits
Fine Arts | 1 Credit
Personal Finance | .5 Credit
Elective Focus | 3 Credits (in a single Program of Study)

Students must also take the ACT on one of the Statewide Test Dates.
Students must pass the Civics Exam (in US Government & Civics course).

Students at Central High School are expected to perform at a level that merits a grade of 70 or higher for the semester average in each course in which they are enrolled. If a student does not meet these expectations, they need to meet with their counselor to determine the best way to recover this credit.
The following options are potentially available:
1. Recover the credit via Plato Web, with the permission of the teacher who issued the failing grade. This should be worked on independently from anywhere with Internet access. Students must have a grade no lower than a 50.
2. With approval from administration, the student may retake the course in the traditional classroom setting.
3. Students may attend Summer School to make up the credit. There is a monetary fee for this option.
