Olin E Teague Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $4,000

One $4,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior, graduating from an accredited U.S. high school, who meets the following criteria:

A) The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.
B) The applicant must be a senior year in an accredited U.S. high school with the intent of attending an accredited U.S. college or university in the Fall of 2020
C) The applicant must plan to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies in an aerospace field.

SCHOLARSHIP SELECTION PROCESS

The award decision is made by the Club's Committee on Scholarships based on the following:

A) Official transcript of high school record
B) At least one letter of recommendation from a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) faculty member or mentor
C) A Statement of Intent that indicates academic plans that would lead to a career in some area of aerospace sciences and/or technology; 500 words minimum, no longer than two pages
D) A research paper focusing on applications to aerospace, five pages minimum (see later sections for paper format)
E) Important note: "Research" in this context refers to the applicant's participation in original research, including in an ongoing project. It does not mean the method of reporting previously collected information from various sources.

Quality Assurance International Scholarship

To Apply: Submit an online written response to the essay question, 300 words maximum.

Pretty Photoshop Actions Bi-annual Scholarship

To Apply: Submit an essay tutorial about Photoshop, between 800 and 1,000 words.

Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Contest

Horatio Alger Scholarship

As one of the nation's largest college financial aid programs in the country, the Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program is one of the major scholarship programs nationally that specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders.

The National Scholarship is awarded to eligible students in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. National Scholars receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., during the spring of their senior year to participate in the National Scholars Conference. Recipients must attend the National Scholars Conference to receive the award.

To be eligible to apply for the Horatio Alger National Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

A) Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States; be progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer of 2020 with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation
B) Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
C) Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
D) Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
E) Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
F) Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and
G) Be a United States citizen

Whitley Law Firm Opioid Crisis Scholarship

$ Award: $1,500

Eligibility: Current or incoming undergraduate or graduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
To Apply: Submit an essay of approximately 1,000 words discussing how the opioid crisis has personally affected them and how the problem can be alleviated in their community.

Coca-Cola Scholarship Program

$ Award: $20,000
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: U.S. graduating high school senior students.
To Apply: Create a profile and complete the application using the online Coca-Cola Scholars application system.

Halloween Costume Scholarship

$ Award: $1,000
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: U.S. students who will be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education no later than fall of 2020, 18 years of age or older.
To Apply: Submit an essay of up to 250 words that responds to the topic: "What was your favorite costume (worn by either you or your pet)?"

Unigo Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship

$ Award: $2,000
Deadline: 10/31
Eligibility: U.S. citizens or residents who are 13 or older.
To Apply: In 250 words or less, tell us "Flesh out a plan to avoid the zombies, including where you’d hide and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive.?"
